Enabling Tethering functionality on P6000/ P7000
This firmware update enables tethering functionality for use with selected dSLR cameras. To enable this function you require the following.
Multimedia Viewer running firmware version 1.57 or above Tethering firmware (downloaded via the Epson website.) Power Adapter for ViewerA formatted SD or Compact Flash memory card with at least 250MB free space.
The procedure for the firmware update is as follows:
1. Copy the folder "PSV5FIRM" to the root of the memory card.
2. Attach the power cable to the Multimedia Viewer and ensure the viewer is switched off. Insert the memory card containing the "PSV5FIRM" folder into the viewer.
4, On the Viewer, hold down the OK and * (rate) buttons. Keeping these buttons depressed, switch on the viewer, releasing the two buttons once an Epson logo appears on screen. The firmware will then begin updating. Once the update is complete, you will be receive an onscreen prompt to switch the viewer off.
5, You can check the update has been a successful by checking the tether to camera option is available. To do this, from the Home screen select USB devices and you should see the option "Tether to Camera"
